The community is located about 10 miles from Maryland. Many people travel in and out of Sunset Hills to visit family and friends every day. The community is also known as The Garden City. It is the home of many famous residents such as Senator Robert Kennedy and singer Patti LaBelle. Some of the residents have also made some major contributions to the community. Some of these people include former Mayor Richard Rosenfeld, who created the “Livability Awards” in the 1980s. They usually rent their homes to other people or live in apartments in the townhouses. They usually keep their residences close to the school district, shopping malls, and restaurants.
